This painting is characterized as a "non-objective" piece. Approaching the start of this painting was more difficult than it may seem. Before beginning, I planned the color scheme to portray a certain emotion through the piece. After many failed attempts, I chose to use three colors: light purple, dark purple, and gold. These colors stuck out to me because they compliment each other and if the piece were to be hanging in a house, it could easily match its surroundings. I chose the name for this painting specifically based on the colors, the gold reminding me of champagne. Surprisingly enough, this painting was a challenge for me; however, it allowed me to broaden my horizon and step out of my comfort zone.
